Any Italian or foreign pharmaceutical company holding marketing authorization for medicines in Italy (AIC), or that, based on an agreement with the respective owner, is responsible for the actual marketing of these medicines, and that intends to organize or contribute to a congress, conference, or meeting related to medicine use, must submit a notification to the Italian Medicines Agency (AIFA). This notification authorizes the proposed educational meetings, allowing the Agency to confirm their strictly technical nature, in accordance with Article 124 of Legislative Decree 219/2006.

Companies that do not manufacture or market medicines are not required to obtain AIFA authorization.

DEADLINES FOR PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES:
Each company must email Mrs. Mantegazza with their SIS code (ID issued in Italy) no later than 75 days before the event start date (by January 31, 2025).
